Principles (Life and Work) by Ray Dalio 서적을 원서로 훑어나갔다.
2018년에 출간된 책인데 다소 늦게 접한 느낌이 있지만 금융/투자업의 클래식 서적답게 현재도 시사하는 바가 많다.
현장에서의 살아 숨쉬는 체험과 저자만의 이론을 적절히 배치하여, 짜임새있는 훌륭한 작품이 나온 듯 하다.
자신의 커리어에 대한 소회, 삶의 원칙, 일의 원칙 (특히 문화를 만들고 조직을 발전시키는 방안) 순으로 그의 이야기를 풀어놓는다.

코로나 팬더믹도 매우 낯설었지만, endemic era인 현재 우리의 삶도 매우 신비롭다.
산업, 인식, 기술, 사고의 변화가 급격히 이루어진 듯 하고,
중간보다는 어느 한 쪽을 선호하는 시대가 되었다.
관용, 배려, 사랑이라는 가치보다는, 개성, 독립, 권리, 쟁취라는 키워드가 더 우리를 흥분시킨다.
어릴적 꿈에 그려본 2020년대가 왔지만, 디스토피아와 유토피아가 팽팽히 맞서고 있는 것 같다.
열린 마음, 젊은 생각으로 바라보면서 또 한편으로는 참여해보자.
